成都外国语学院是国家教育部批准设立的全日制普通本科院校，前身是四川外国语大学成都学院，创办于2000年，2023年9月经教育部批准更名为成都外国语学院。学校是四川省130多所高校中唯一的专业外国语高校，致力于创建高水平、国际化、应用型外国语大学。

学校现有成都、宜宾两个校区，占地面积1400多亩，校园湖光山色、风景宜人、空气清新，建筑风格中西合璧，自然人文环境交融辉映，是读书治学、成长成才的理想园地。

作为四川及西部地区重要的外语资源和人才基地，学校开设本专科专业65个，其中有30个外语类专业，涉及16门外语，6门外语在四川省高校中独一无二，形成了以外语学科为主，文学、经济、管理、艺术、教育等多学科协调发展的学科专业体系。学校现有1个国家级一流本科专业，5个四川省本科高校一流本科专业，4个四川省本科高校应用型示范专业，4个四川省民办高校重点特色专业，外国语言文学学科入选四川省贡嘎计划培育学科，2023年获批硕士学位授予立项建设单位。学校是中国高等教育学会外语教学研究分会理事单位、中国高校外语慕课联盟理事单位、教育部“三进”工作试点高校等，多次在第三方机构的相关高校排行榜中获评外语类、文学类第1名。

学校坚持人才强校战略，拥有一支德才兼备、爱岗敬业、教学优异的专任教师队伍，常年聘有16个外语语种的外籍教师。现有教育部教指委委员、四川省委省政府决咨委委员、四川省高校教指委委员、新文科教指委委员、课程思政教指委委员、全国优秀教师等10多人。近3年来，教师荣获省级以上教学比赛奖项100余个。

学校坚持办应用型大学，以“外语+”“+外语”相互融合，培养学生成为就业有实力、工作有能力、发展有潜力、个人有魅力的优秀应用型人才。现面向全国27个省（市、自治区）招生，在校生24000余人；设有12个二级学院，建有8个新文科实验室组群、100余间实验室，获评省级实验教学示范中心、省级大学生文科实践基地等。办学以来，学校育人质量广受好评，多个语种专业过级率超全国平均过级率20余个百分点；近三年，320多名学子在省级以上专业比赛中屡获冠亚军、特等奖、一等奖等奖项；每年有15%左右的本科毕业生成功考研，在第三方机构和媒体的排行榜中，学生深造率名列前茅。学校已培养6.5万余名优秀人才，广受用人单位欢迎，就业率保持在同类高校前列，获评“四川省高校毕业生就业工作优秀单位”，广大校友遍布五洲四海，涌现了一大批在各行各业取得突出成就的优秀校友。

学校曾获得四川省人民政府教学成果奖二等奖、四川省社会科学优秀成果奖二等奖等，近两年立项省部级科研项目10多项，厅局级科研项目160余项。出版校刊《外语教育与应用》（第七辑)（第八辑）两辑，获CNKI系列数据库（中国知网）全文收录。教师发表SCD和核心论文130余篇，出版著作27部（本）。

学校坚持国际化办学，已与全球24个国家的120多所高校建立了友好合作关系，开设了适应各语种各专业的本升硕、双学位、专升本、专升硕、交换生等留学项目，以及带薪实习、境外就业等就业项目，每年有500余名学子赴海外留学深造和实习就业，其中一批学生获国家留学基金委全额奖学金、匈牙利国家奖学金、韩国政府奖学金等资助；先后招收了9批来自俄罗斯、韩国、意大利等国的外籍留学生；每年都有众多各国的政府官员、领事馆官员、高校校长等来访交流；选派了众多在校学生参加中日韩领导人峰会、成都大运会、世界军运会、中阿论坛等重要外交外事活动。学校还是“中国（四川）援外医疗队葡萄牙语培训基地”“白俄罗斯教育部白俄罗斯留学预科中心”“亚洲教育论坛国际教育交流基地”。

ChengduInternationalStudiesUniversity(CISU)approvedbytheMinistryofEducationisafull-timegeneralundergraduateinstitution.ChengduInstituteSichuanInternationalStudiesUniversity,thepredecessorofCISUwasestablishedin2000.InSeptember2023,itwasofficiallyrenamedChengduInternationalStudiesUniversitywiththeapprovaloftheMinistryofEducation.Amongmorethan130highereducationinstitutionsinSichuanProvinceCISUistheonlyspecializedforeignlanguageuniversitycommittedtobuildingahigh-levelforeignlanguageuniversityfeaturingapplicationandglobalvision.
